Guest speaker, Alice Wiewel is the State Architect of the Oregon Department of Administrative Services Chief Financial Office. Her office develops policy for the State’s building portfolio, particularly its focus on resilience, stewardship, design excellence and sustainability.

The Senator Mark O. Hatfield Architectural Award was established in 1998 to annually recognize an Oregon architecture student for their design promise and community service. Since 1998, AFO has awarded 25 scholarships to exceptional students, many of whom now practice in the Northwest and around the world.
